Through #travel we increase our #cultura

Through #travel we increase our #cultural #awareness and what is ‘normal’ to one #community can seem crazy to another. We open our minds to new things and step out of our comfort zone to explore new territories. We #develop as people and have a greater understanding of the world that we live in. This creates Global Citizens; people that are aware of their actions and contribute towards a sustainable future – so get out there and #explore! #SustainableTravel #wanderlust #conservation #community #volunteer #GlobalCitizenship http://ow.ly/i/iTZ9m

There is something very special about th

There is something very special about the trains in #India as you #experience the ‘realness’ of the #community. We quite often get caught in ‘Tourist Traps’ when we #travel and I’m sure we’ve all been on #holidays that could have been anywhere. You stay in a resort or complex with international chains and don’t #explore or understand the real communities that you’re in. Public transport is always a great way to see the ‘realness’ of a certain place, as its usually here that the real people, go about their real way of life, with a beautifully raw but real attitude. So get out there and #Explore and I guarantee you’ll have a far more #culturally #insightful experience! #StayInTheFloogle #conservation #GlobalCitizenship #adventure #wanderlust http://ow.ly/i/iR3yp

Travelling offers so much but its the #c

Travelling offers so much but its the #cultural insight that allows you to understand and appreciate where you are. When you arrive in a new place I always recommend #exploring and researching the area, from #museum and #sightseeing #tours to cultural dining experiences and performances. These allow you to understand their history, their customs and their way of life, which will help you to appreciate their #community. So do you #research, walk off the beaten track and #discover new places #travel #develop #explore #conservation #GlobalCitizenship #SustainableTravel #DoIt Flooglebinder #StayInTheFloogle http://ow.ly/i/iOCuE

One of the best things about #travel is

One of the best things about #travel is the #food and #India know how to cook! Before I left for India everyone said how different the food was to a typical #British #curry but to be honest I didnt think so. All the same dishes just so much more and sooooo much tastier and don’t get me started on the #bread – that was another level. Be careful of the #streetfood, its awesome but Delhi Belly got the better of me on one occasion so always remember to carry the right #medication and plenty of rehydration salts #travel #safe #explore #wanderlust http://ow.ly/i/ioHzz

Aside from #food one of the best things

Aside from #food one of the best things about #travel is ‘local’ transport, I love the variety & diversity just make sure you know how much to pay and be careful. We’ve all been stung by taxis, whether at home or abroad, so make sure you know what the rough price should be and if possible check they’re a reputable firm. For example, in #Bali there is a legitimate taxi firm called Bluebird that use a metre, some firms have gone out of their way to even copy their logo so make sure you check and ask for a metre if possible. Secondly, ensure you have small denominations and keep small amounts separate to your larger notes. And, finally try not to ever travel alone #tuktuk #India #Delhi #safe #sustainable #travel #develop #explore #wanderlust http://ow.ly/i/imqqQ

Don’t judge a book by its cover – this

Don’t judge a book by its cover – this was the best #Chai #Tea I’ve ever had #India #Delhi #SpiceMarket|Its a pretty crazy place but thats what I loved about it so much, the diversity, the culture, the hospitality. The cities are pretty hectic,, although nice to explore, but its when you get out of the mayhem and see the rest of this amazingly spiritual country that you truly fall in love. Make sure you head north and check out The Great Himalayan National Park #travel #develop #explore #wanderlust #trek #himalayas http://ow.ly/i/ig2ho

One of the must do’s for #Delhi has to

One of the must do’s for #Delhi has to be the Spice Market. I love my markets but this is a whole ‘nother level! Markets give you a real taste of the local community, the real people, real way of life and a real experience. Some are ‘Tourist Traps’ so try to stay clear of them, although great for shopping, but do your research & explore the hidden local markets. Its nice to haggle & feel like you’ve got a bargain but make it enjoyable, don’t drive them to low that they resent doing business with you but don’t pay too much as this can create a false economy. I always recommend to walk away from the first few so you know their bottom price #travel #tips http://ow.ly/i/idMkB
